Details: 1989 Maserati Zagato Spyder - Rosso Red

This California convertible has all documented service records, has been featured in car shows, photographed by enthousiasts and is an exellent example of Italian motoring. With a five-speed manual transmission, coupled to a 226 HP twin-turbo engine, the Zagato does 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. There are almost no examples of this car left on the road today. In 1989, roughly 600 were made in the world, 90 of which were made for the North American market. Should you be able to find ten examples left, this would definitely be in the top-10 in North America. The color combination is perfect, Rosso Red and supple Italian tan leather interior. The convertible soft-top is manual and thus no worry over failing electrical systems. The top functions perfectly and the matching leather tonneau is in perfect working condition. The twin-turbo is a joy to drive and the boost holds steady, with full compression in the engine. This is a gorgeous head-turner and youll get looks EVERYWHERE you go, and honking the quirky Italian horn is a real treat. All gears shift smoothly and there is no rust to be found anywhere. Based on the number of these left, its in excellent condition. However, there are a couple minor issues, the wood trim is cracked in one location and should be replaced (roughly $180), the clock needs to be taken to a watch repairman (avg $150), and there may be a couple minute scratches hardly visible. Thats really it, car runs great, California smogged, tires have lots of life, and a new windshield and trim were installed (over $1500). I bought this car as a long-term investment, knowing full well how it will appreciate with every passing year it survives. My wife and I are expecting our first child and Im forced to sell.
