1980 MG Other for sale $12,900

This car still has its ORIGINAL engine, black paint, convertible top, interior, dashboard, decals, transmission, suspension, bumpers, wheels, etc. It is almost in mint condition (9 1/2 out of 10 mint condition) but could be with several minor repairs, then be entered again in competitions. I am 87 years old and have never been interested in doing this. But, the original owner reportedly won several 1st place awards in National Auto Shows with this car. As the third owner (a gift from my wife on my 60th birthday) in 1990 with 41,960 miles, I have just driven this car 5,185 miles (moved to Arizona in 1994) during the last 27 years. Less than 350 miles ago, it was also detailed by Perry Dodd and mechanically checked by Andrew Atwood (both prominently utilized by sellers of very expensive cars at Barrett Jackson auctions in Scottsdale, AZ. At this time, new front brakes, new fuel and water pumps, new tires, and new exhaust parts were installed. Original manuals and service records (from McMillen andamp; Baer, Inc. Carnegie, PA.) dating back to 12/22/1980 are also available. As you would expect, this car runs and drives beautifully and its drive train, engine, suspension, steering, brakes, electricals, etc are in outstanding condition. Per the latest Hagerty Valuation Guide, it shows $ 22,000 for condition1 and $17,600 for condition 2 (Excellent) plus $ 1500 for Limited Edition models. Thus, our car is very fairly priced at $12,900.
