The Grand Prix first appeared in the Pontiac line for the 1962 model year, as a replacement for theVentura. It was essentially a standardPontiac Catalinacoupe with minimal outside chrome trim and a sportier interior (bucket seats and a center console). The performance-mindedJohn De Lorean, head of Advanced Engineering at Pontiac, contributed to the development of the Grand Prix.

In 1969, the second generation Grand Prix was introduced, based on a slightly stretched version of the intermediateGM A platform, which was dubbed the G-body.

A revised grille with fewer vertical bars and revised taillight lenses marked the 1975 Grand Prix. Changes included the addition of GMs High Energy electronic ignition and a catalytic converter that mandated the use of unleaded gasoline. Radial tires became standard on all models.

This Grand Prix has no stories. It is a one owner car as referenced by its original title and original bill of sale. It has only 13,902 ORIGINAL miles. It has been excellently maintained in a heated garage and has never seen any winter weather. Everything is original except the battery and the tires, which were replaced four years ago. This is one car that a new owner would be proud to drive or show anywhere.
