Details: 1972 Citroen 2CV Club, Vert Bambou Please note, even though the donor vehicle was from 1972, all the underlaying mechanical components are late eighties vintage.

This superb 2CV received a mechanical restoration by Burton Car Co. of the Netherlands early in 2016. Highlights of the work are: new gearbox, new galvanized chassis, new floor boards and lower firewall. All the following parts are new: the convertible roof, brakes, brake lines (stainless steel), four wheel rims and tires, kingpins, the complete exhaust system, four shock absorbers, clutch assembly, fuel gauge sending unit, light switch assembly, windshield wiper pivots, and so much more. The engine received a major tune up, all fluids and filters were changed, new spark plugs and cables were installed, the carburetor was rebuilt and rejetted for todayandrsquo;s fuel. She has an electronic ignition.

The engine runs smooth and strong, the transmission works great. Brakes and steering are excellent. She has disc brakes on the front, and drums on the rear. The engine is the most powerful unit produced for the 2CV: 602 cc, 33 hp and equipped with a double barrel carburetor. This is a very handsome 2CV with excellent paint and interior, and a soundly running car! The car returns great fuel mileage and is fun to drive. With its striking 60andrsquo;s themed paint scheme and the flower decals you will never have to worry about losing it in the mallandrsquo;s parking lot. Just look for the crowd! Do I hear Scott McKenzie playing San Francisco? (The decals can be removed of course). She has a clear title and can be easily registered in California. These 2CVs have plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic in the city, and will drive along happily all day long at 65 mph on the highway. They are famously reliable, and if youandrsquo;d need anything parts are readily available and inexpensive. $16andrsquo;200-
