Details: For sale is this true survivor Barn Find 71 Lincoln Continental Mark III.I have driven it twice within the last two months and it has 55277 miles on it.My grandfather purchased this car back in the early 80s (83 I think) from the original owner. He drove it for a few years and then parked it after putting new tires and shocks on it (I have the original receipt for them!). I recently (in the last two years) installed a rebuilt Autoline carburetor (I have the original that came with the car), fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, rebuilt alternator, new points, new plugs, new wires, new cap, new rotor, rebuilt power steering pump, new high pressure and low pressure steering hoses, new battery (today), changed oil and filter, changed trans oil and filter, and new fuel pump. I also reoved the fuel tank, cleaned/washed it with muriatic acid, soldered up some pin holes, lined the tank, coated the tank exterior with cold galvanizing compound and restored the fuel pickup assembly and installed a new fuel pickup filter.

Body is straight and has never been wrecked. All moldings, bumpers, chrome, trim, etc. are original to car and present. Vinyl top is in awesome condition with one small tear on drivers A pillar, no rust underneath from what I can tell. Radio works, power seats work, brakes work, trans shifts great, runs awesome. Underside of car is great condition. No rust in cabin floor or trunk floor. All interior components are original, even the rubber floor mats. Leather seats, carpet, headliner and door panels are in awesome shape.

This is a true surviving, unmolested, numbers matching car (need I say Barn find). I inherited this car after my grandpa passed away in 2002. It has been stored inside its entire life. I dont have time to restore it as I have WAY to many other car projects ahead of this one. I have a clean/clear title in hand. Buyer will be responsible for transporting car. I can provide the info for the parts and restoration services for the below listed problems to buyer.

Things currently wrong with car:

1. AC/heat control module does not function. Needs to be rebuilt LincolnLand in Florida does this for around 400 bucks.

3. Some small cracks on the drivers armrest.

4. Both door piping that goes from the quarter window to the floor has worn on the top.

5. Both quarter windows need to be serviced.cleaned and lubed up.

7. Some rust on passenger front fender.

8. Some rust on both rear quarters in front of and behind wheel opening.

9. Needs paint.

10. Front Lincoln star above grill broke off, but I have it in the glove box.

11. Cruise control needs to be serviced.

12. Mufflers and tail pipes are rusted through (from storage) and need replaced.
