Details: The 3rd generation Corvette (C3) was produced by Chevrolet from 1968 to 1982. Engine and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation but the body and interior were completely redesigned. In 1970 fender flares were designed into the body contours to reduce damage from debris thrown by the wheels and it also received new were egg crate grills with matching front fender side vent. Interiors were tweaked with redesigned seats and a new deluxe interior option combined wood grain wood accents and higher spec carpeting with leather seat surfaces. A positraction rear axle, tinted glass and a 4 speed manual transmission were now standard. Available in very limited quantities was the new 350 cubic inch LT-1 small block V8 engine delivering a factory rated 370 hp. It was a solid lifter motor featuring a forged steel crankshaft, a 4 bolt main, an 111 compression ratio, impact extruded pistons, a high lift camshaft, a low restriction exhaust, an aluminum intake manifold, a Holley 780 cfm 4 barrel carburetor and finned aluminum rocker covers. The new engine, making up less than 8% of production, could not be ordered with air conditioning and was fitted with a domed hood adorned with LT-1 decals. This particular example is a 2 owner car that was restored in 2006 and has been driven less than 10,000 miles since. During the restoration it was professionally repainted in its original color of Marlboro Maroon, the interior was restored and the engine was rebuilt to original specs. It did not originally come with side exhaust but the current owner always wanted to have them so they were added during the restoration. It has been serviced regularly and has been pampered since day 1. We would consider this to be a well above average car and as such would conservatively appraise it at the NADA average value which is currently $76,610. We are serious about selling this gem and have priced it accordingly so if you like what you see you better not wait to call us!
Analysis: Good Deal, 34.0% below market avg. What's this?
