Originally a California truck with title and plates from the Golden State, this outstanding 1969 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser was the recipient of a ground-up restoration completed in 2014. The Land Cruiserandrsquo;s solid reputation for its durability and reliability is largely the result of its extremely heavy-duty driveline, especially in 4-wheel drive configuration. The restoration of this example fully addressed these qualities; the 3.9 L F-series inline-6 gasoline engine has been rebuilt and now sports a rebuilt carburetor and a new water pump. A new clutch and rebuilt transfer case ensure top performance, and a new brake system has also been installed. NOS wheels and hub caps were fitted with five new B.F. Goodrich off-road tires, completing the underpinnings. The new interior, completed to correct specifications, includes a new dash pad and rebuilt instruments. Refinished in the original Green single-stage paint, this 1969 FJ40 Land Cruiser is ready to be released back into the wild. - California truck |
