Details: The 1963 Impala SS is just as iconic today as it was when it was new. As a testament to their enduring popularityand#44; just watch any music video or check out the garage of a pro athletes home; theyre all rolling in vintage Impalas just like this brilliant Roman Red SS hardtop. Sporting a strong-running 348/4-speed drivetrain and a stunning repaint that looks authenticand#44; its this years best bet for stylish cruising.

Yesand#44; this is a real code 18 Impala sport coupe and a real SSand#44; as evidenced by the black bucket seat interior. Its also a very straight Impala with gorgeousand#44; arrow-straight sheetmetal and a clean bill of healthand#44; thanks to living in a warm climate most of its life. The paint was done fairly recentlyand#44; and carries a brilliant gloss that should make the original enamel jealousand#44; giving it a finish that will be the envy of anyone whos ever built a black car themselves. The body fits together quite well and I personally like the monochromatic look of the red top on the red body. Its got a few signs of use and ageand#44; because this Chevy was built for the roadand#44; but youre going to love the way this one look as much as the way it runs. All the chrome and stainless trim is in good shape and even the side trim is remarkably devoid of parking lot dings. Correct engine-turned detailing is another clue that this is a real SSand#44; since nobody in the aftermarket is making those particular pieces and theyre incredibly hard to find second-hand.

Insideand#44; the black bucket seat interior remains in exceptionally good condition. Refreshed at some pointand#44; its a nice blend of original styling and some more up-to-date materials that are more inviting than the originalsand#44; without being obvious. Both seats are in excellent conditionand#44; and even the drivers seat shows very little wear. Recent carpets are the correct color and weaveand#44; and there are beautiful new door panels and a fresh headliner to round out the soft parts. Also note that this Imp offers a column-mounted Sun tachometerand#44; auxiliary gauges under the dashand#44; and a Hurst shifter atop the 4-speed gearbox. A modern AM/FM/cassette stereo has been seamlessly fitted to the original dash locationand#44; and even uses the original knobs! The super clean trunk offers a correct set of mats and a full-sized spare tire assembly that dates back to when the car was still a daily driver.

The 348 cubic inch V8 was a big step up from the standard six cylinderand#44; whichand#44; ironicallyand#44; was also available in SS trim. Its got a 3755011 casting number and it has obviously been well maintained. Its mostly stock save for an Edelbrock carband#44; plus an awesome V8 soundtrack from twin exhaust pipes underneath. Its also nicely detailedand#44; with traditional W shaped valve covers and a chrome air cleanerand#44; plus the Chevy Orange paint on the block. The 4-speed shifts well and feeds the original rear endand#44; and while youre under thereand#44; please note that the floorsand#44; frameand#44; and other components are still in very good condition. Fresh 225/70/15 radials on shiny Rally wheels look awesome and preserve the factory hot-rod look.

This Impala is a timeless collectable thats also awesome to drive. Theres more invested in the build than were asking for the entire carand#44; so if youve been lookingand#44; this is your chance. Call today!
