Details: Built in the Arlington assembly plant, sold new at Hine Pontiac (a Super Duty dealership). This is Pontiacs second-lowest-production full-size 1962 model. Very scarce find today.

Garaged in 1985 until I bought it from the son of the original owner in 2000. Tailgate shows signs of collision repair but otherwise never wrecked. Repainted around 1980. This Safari is numbers all the way, PHS documented, includes receipts of everything I did to it including a detailed notebook with pictures and detailed notes on trips I have taken with her.

NEW: wiring, SMS door panels, tires, brakes, timing chain, radiator and hoses, fan clutch, dual exhaust, rear coil springs (not installed yet).

REBUILT: 2GC carburetor, ignition (cap, rotor, points, wires, plugs),

EXCELLENT steering wheel, very good full dash pad.

FACTORY OPTIONS: A/C (generator), Tinted windows (all), P/S, P/B, Map Light, Speed-Alert Speedo, Low-Fuel Warning, Roof Rack, Electric Rear Window.

CONDITION: The car is complete. Engine runs great. Electrical system operates properly. The transmission leaks (common for these) and would benefit from a removal and re-seal/re-gasket service. Suspension is healthy. Brake master cylinder leaks fluid. VERY minimal rust (see pictures). Mouse nest caused a fist-sized rust hole at rear passenger floor pan (driver-side). Glass has no cracks but vent wings are cloudy. Heater core leaks (now bypassed). The A/C is inoperative but has not been diagnosed. Headliner material is saveable but the threads that join the panels is separating in a few areas. Front seat bottom needs reconditioning (vinyl is split and foam is crumbling). Front seat upper, middle seat and third seat are in very good condition. A note regarding the pictures: all parts that arent shown attached to the car (underdash A/C vent, for example) come with the car, they were just not installed at the time the pics were taken.

EXTRAS: I have spent about $4000 collecting Safari-only NOS parts. They come with the car for asking price. The master cylinder will also be renewed for asking price. Selling price is negotiable if you dont require these parts and service (if you want to update the brakes, \
