1957 PORSCHE SPEEDSTER # 83714, triple black, unique one-of-a-kind custom build with a PORSCHE CARRERA GT theme. The car had a rotisserie restoration over 10 years ago and painted in black lacquer (Dupont Diamond Black). After being restored and put on the road with a Super-90 pushrod engine, it was later replaced with a Dean Polopolus (POLO) engine which is a re-engineered 911-6 engine, shortened to 4-cylinders therefore fitting into a 356 engine compartment without overcrowding it. This beefed up motor increased the original motor by 3 times (60hp vs. 180HP). This engine has less than 4K miles on it. - Porsche Rack and pinion steering
- Custom front and rear sway bars
- Integral tubular supported chassis and GT style roll bar
- GT style racing seats (mounted on metal frames) and safety belts
- Custom Boyd Coddington 17 billet aluminum wheels/hubcaps (styled after 356C wheels)
- GT bumper strips and GT louvered engine lid with original Carrera screen
- Original Porsche Carrera stone guards cover the headlights (removable)
- Custom mirror on drivers fender
- Custom oil temp/pressure/fuel gauge (VDO)
- Rebuilt electric tach and speedo (VDO)
- Original Carrera dash switches to as used on factory cars
