It is said that Chevy produced less than 100 of these special order vehicles for the militaryand#44; the Park Service and private telephone companies. This 150 has been professionally restored back to its Park Service configuration. The frame-off restoration is virtually flawless. The body preparation was superband#44; followed by a back-to-original finish coat of Army Green (2016). The new Cobblestone/Black cloth and vinyl interior maintains perfect factory appearance - look at the OEM steering wheel. For a bit of luxuryand#44; there is an AM/FM stereo and tinted windows. Under the hood is a rebuilt 283 ci motor. It is not the original engineand#44; but it is a 57 block with a 57 PowerPack heads and 4V intake. The little mouse sounds pure through ram horn manifolds and a free-flowing exhaust. Power is delivered by a Muncie 4-speed transmission (with Hurst) to a rebuilt factory rear end with 3:08 gears. In additionand#44; all electrics are now driven by an alternator system. Look at the pictures of the undercarriageand#44; it is spotless.
